“Continued driving possible” is true for the moment. The car keeps running because the high-voltage system tops up the 12V while you drive. The risk shows up when you park. A failing 12V can drain overnight and leave the car dead the next morning, with no iDrive, no door handles, and no way to shift. So you can finish the trip, but treat the message as a short countdown, not background noise.
